In a surprising crossover event that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
